The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it is investigating after a fatal pedestrian collision in the city’s Cedar Hills neighbourhood Friday evening.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle travelling north on 128th Street from 96th Avenue, the SPS says.

“Surrey Fire Services, BCEHS, and SPS Frontline members attended the scene,” it said in a news release.
“Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian, a 22-year-old female, sadly succumbed to her injuries.”
Police say it’s possible impairment was a contributing cause. The driver remained at the scene and was taken into custody.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dash cam footage is asked to call the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and refer to file number 25-14813 (SP).
