
The Surrey Police Service is investigating after a collision between a shuttle bus driver and a pedestrian sent one man to hospital Tuesday.
Police report being called to the intersection of 56 Avenue and 180 Street around 5 p.m.
CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO 1130 NEWSRADIO VANCOUVER LIVE!The SPS describes how first responders discovered a man with “minor injuries” who needed transportation to hospital, where police say “his injuries are still being assessed.”
In contrast, BC Emergency Health Services described the victim’s condition as “serious.”
Images show a TransLink-branded vehicle stopped at the scene and a bag and other items strewn across the road.


“The bus driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. The cause of the collision remains under investigation,” said a police statement.
The parts of the road were closed while investigators worked, but have since reopened.
