
The North Vancouver RCMP has announced that a suspect in connection with a stabbing at Capilano Mall on Sunday has been charged.
The BC Prosecution Service has charged Howard Hough of North Vancouver with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO 1130 NEWSRADIO VANCOUVER LIVE!According to police, officers were called to the scene at around 9:45 a.m. regarding reports of a fight between two men.
Upon arrival, police found a victim with stab wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police also located and arrested the suspect at the scene shortly after.
Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public currently.
“As the investigation is in its very early stages, there are a lot of unanswered questions that police are seeking answers for,” said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for the North Vancouver RCMP.
Investigators are asking the public to contact police if they witnessed the incident.
