
A woman has been killed in a shooting in Brampton on Tuesday afternoon.
Peel police were called to Airport Road and Queen Street East just before 2 p.m. after reports of a shooting.
A woman was found shot and died of her injuries at the scene.
Peel police later confirmed the homicide was related to an Amber Alert sent out around three hours after the shooting.
Officers are searching for 38-year-old Anthony Deschepper in connection to the shooting after he allegedly abducted a one-year-old girl. She was later found safe.
He is said to be driving a 2024 black Nissan Kick with a Quebec licence plate FRV4520 and is described as as five foot nine inches, 175 pounds, clean shaven with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and carrying a black crossbody bag. He is considered armed and dangerous.
