Police say they are searching for five suspects in connection with a jewellery store robbery at the Pickering Town Centre.
Officers with the Durham Regional Police Service were called to Peoples Jewellers at the mall just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police say four masked suspects walked in and started smashing the display cases.
The suspects allegedly stole jewellery before fleeing in a grey, Honda CRV, which investigators say was driven by a fifth suspect.
The employees at the store were not injured. It is not known if any customers were inside at the time.
Police describe the suspects as follows:
- Suspect #1: Male, white, slim-medium build, around 14-20 years old
- Suspect #2: Male, white, slim build, around 14-18 years old
- Suspect #3: Male, white, slim build, around 14-20 years old
- Suspect #4: Male, white, around 14-18 years old
- Suspect #5: Male, white
