The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says an outage with its Primary Inspection Kiosks that impacted some airports across the country, including Toronto Pearson Airport, has been resolved.
Pearson said the outage impacted Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and passengers were advised to expect to experience longer-than-normal wait times.
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport was also affected by the outage including airports in Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Halifax.
The outage began around 11:30 a.m. ET on Thursday and was resolved just before 2 p.m.
“Travellers may continue to experience delays in the short term as we resume normal processing operations,” CBSA said in an updated on X.
During the outage, CBSA said travellers were re-directed to inspection lines for manual processing by border services officers.
CBSA confirmed today’s outage has been linked to the outage earlier this week, which was caused by an “unforeseen technical problem during routine systems maintenance.”
They add It was not the result of a cyberattack.
