Two children and one adult were assessed for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a two-storey townhouse in Kitchener.
Crews were called to the fire on Green Valley Drive on Saturday morning after the people living there called 911.
The fire reportedly broke out around a stove in the kitchen. Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the first floor and front exterior.
Residents inside the home were alerted by working smoke alarms and were assessed as a precaution.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office was notified but no foul play is suspected relating to the fire.
Damage is estimated at $300,000.
