Regional police investigate noxious substance incident in Waterloo

Regional Police are investigating after a noxious substance was sprayed at a party in Waterloo on Saturday.

It happened later at night, shortly before 11:30 p.m., in the area of Albert and Central Street.

Police responded to reports of unknown suspects spraying people at a party with a noxious substance before fleeing the scene.

Minor physical injuries were reported from the incident, with emergency services called to the scene for medical assistance.

Regional police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.

Regional police took to social media Saturday afternoon, posting about large crowds gathering in the area of Marshall Street and Regina Street North, asking people to avoid the area.
