A hit-and-run collision that resulted in downed power lines prompted an investigation from Waterloo regional police.
Officials responded to the area of Christner Road and Waterloo Street in New Hamburg around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, after receiving reports of a collision.
They determined a vehicle had left the road and struck a hydro pole, failing to remain at the scene.
The collision caused downed power lines and damage to the pole.
Police are looking for a 2017-2021 red Chevrolet Silverado with “extensive front-end damage and missing the Chevrolet emblem.”
The investigation is ongoing.
