The Kitchener Rangers had a hard fought victory, winning their second point of the road trip and beating the Spirit 5-4 in a shootout.

Jack Pridham would open strong for the Blue Shirts scoring the first two goals of the game, but Saginaw answered with two of their own.

The second period saw the Spirit take the lead before the third period gave fans an electric back and fourth.

Pridham scored his first career OHL hat-trick to tie the game, before Saginaw took the lead with a goal of their own. Tanner Lam would tie it at four a piece with just over two minutes left in the period.

The game would come down to a shoot out, where goals from Tanner Lam, Christian Humphreys, and Cameron Arquette, coupled with goaltender Jason Schaubel stopping three of five shots, earned the East Avenue Blues the win.

The Rangers will get three days of rest before they head to Sarnia to take on the Sting on Wednesday.
