
A Kitchener man is now facing a list of charges after being injured in an impaired driving incident in North Dumfries Township.
It was around 10 p.m. on Sunday when police were called to a reported collision on New Dundee Road, near the area of Stauffer Woods Trail in the township.
Minor injuries were reported for the 33-year-old Kitchener man behind the wheel, while investigators have said that both alcohol and speed are believed to have been factors in the crash.
That Kitchener man now faces several charges including:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
- Dangerous operation
The investigation into that crash closed nearby roadways for roughly three hours, though any related closures have since been lifted.
