The price for fuel in Nova Scotia saw an increase overnight.

In its weekly adjustment, the Nova Scotia Energy Board pushed the price for self-serve regular gasoline up by just over half a cent at midnight on Friday to a new minimum price of 133.0 in Halifax.

Diesel prices were subject to a more significant increase, with the provincial regulator raising the minimum price for that fuel to 167.3 cents per litre.

That is an increase of 7.2 cents.

On this date twelve months ago, Nova Scotians were paying 1.66 for gas and 1.97 for diesel.
