The RCMP says officers have found no evidence of gunshots being fired in Beaver Bank.

An alert for residents in Beaver Bank to shelter-in-place was issued just after 7 a.m. Thursday after a report of shots fired in the Trinity Lane area.

“Officers attended and conducted an investigation, which found no evidence to support that gunshots had been heard or that anyone was injured,” RCMP Cpl. Mandy Edwards said in a statement to CityNews on Thursday afternoon.

The request for people to stay in their homes was lifted about an hour after officers responded to the initial report.
