Regional police charged a man following a robbery that took place at a Subway restaurant on Tuesday evening.
At roughly 8 p.m., officers responded to the Subway on Pleasant Street in Dartmouth, where staff reported a man ordered food but refused to pay and threatened staff with a knife.
Police say the man took the food and left the restaurant, adding that staff were not physically injured.
A few minutes later, officers arrested the suspect who was still on scene.
Norman Alexander MacDonald, 51, was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Wednesday to face charges of robbery, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death.
