
Police say officers saw a vehicle back into another vehicle in the early morning hours in Halifax last week.
This incident has led to Halifax Regional Police discovering weapons and drugs in the vehicle, officials said in a press release. The incident happened on June 26 around 1:00 a.m. The police officers saw the vehicle hit another in the 180 block of Evans Avenue.
When they approached the vehicle they saw the driver appeared to be asleep. Waking the person up they arrested the accused for impaired driving, but during this process the driver tried to run away.
Police launched an investigation which led to officers finding a handgun, a quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Killan Allen-Dimock, 21, of Halifax, is facing charges of:
- Firearms related offences (x7)
- Operation of a conveyance while impaired
- Drug related offences (x4)
- Resist arrest
- Bail violations
- Breach of probation order (x3)
The accused appeared in court last week.
