Police are investigating a suspicious death after an older woman was found dead in a southwest Calgary home Thursday morning.
Officers were called to a home on Canterbury Gardens SW in the community of Canyon Meadows around 10:50 a.m. after getting reports that a woman in her 80s had been found dead inside.
No details surrounding the death have been released, but investigators say the case is being treated as suspicious.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine the cause of death.
Investigators are gathering security footage from the neighbourhood and are looking to speak with anyone in the area who may have seen or heard anything.
