
Mounties in Okotoks are continuing their investigation into a shooting that left one person seriously injured on Wednesday evening.
The shooting happened around 6 p.m. at a home on Drake Landing Terrace. A victim remains in the hospital with serious injuries, police said Friday.
The RCMP is now seeking help from the public regarding information on a suspect vehicle.
Investigators identified a vehicle believed to have been used during the shooting. The vehicle — a red or orange Land Rover Range Rover with tinted windows and black rims — was later found by officers, engulfed in flames.
Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking the movements of the vehicle and its occupants in the moments leading up to the shooting. Specifically, residents in the area are urged to review dashcam footage and home surveillance systems for any sightings of the vehicle or the people connected to it.
A photo of the vehicle has been released to help with identification.
RCMP have said they believe the shooting was targeted and there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
