A Southern Alberta man is facing multiple charges following a child pornography investigation led by Innisfail RCMP in collaboration with ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.
On Sept. 18, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Penhold as part of an ongoing investigation.
Police say the operation resulted in the arrest of 44-year-old Jefferey Johnstone.
He has been charged with three offences, including making child pornography available, possessing child pornography, and accessing child pornography.
He was released after appearing before a Justice of the Peace and will next appear in court on Oct. 16 in Red Deer.
Officials are urging anyone with information related to online child exploitation to contact their local RCMP detachment or report it anonymously through Cybertip.ca.
