A man has been charged with criminal harassment against a Calgary police officer.
An investigation started in November 2024, when a Calgary Police Officer (CPS) asked the RCMP to investigate criminal harassment and intimidation against them.
RCMP says the suspect was previously the subject of an investigation by CPS.
Following that investigation, police say the accused turned to defamatory, anti-law enforcement online content against the Calgary police department and the lead investigator on his matter.
RCMP say he continued to post online content, which evolved into threats and stalking behaviour against the officer.
The Southern Alberta District General Investigation Section took over the investigation and last week, arrested 46-year-old Jordan Randall Bonner.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Airdrie on Jan. 8.
