A 21-year-old Calgary man has been charged with sexual assault in Hawaii following allegations involving a girl he reportedly met online.

According to police, the suspect had recently travelled from Calgary to the big island in Hawaii, where he met with a minor he had previously connected with through Roblox, a popular online gaming platform.

Officials allege the accused rented a bed-and-breakfast in West Hawai‘i and engaged in sexual contact with the girl.

Einreb John Pasuquin Dizon was arrested on Saturday by detectives with the Hawai‘i Island Police Department. The arrest followed an investigation initiated by South Kohala patrol officers.

Dizon was formally charged on Sunday with first-degree sexual assault, classified as a Class A felony in Hawaii. His bail was set at $250,000, and he appeared in court on Monday.
