CTrain service has resumed through downtown Calgary on Monday afternoon following an earlier crash.

Calgary Transit says a collision near 7 Avenue and 3 Street SW before 1:30 p.m. halted train service along 7 Avenue for around two hours.

Images from the scene show a damaged dark-coloured SUV that appears to have struck a pole on the side of the road. It’s unclear whether a train was involved in the crash before the vehicle hit the pole.

Police say no one was hurt in the crash.

Police also say the weather likely caused the crash. Snowfall in Calgary wreaked havoc on city roads on Monday.

Train service on the Red and Blue lines resumed around 3:15 p.m.
