A Vancouver Police Department (VPD) officer has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a crash in a downtown intersection Thursday evening.
“A collision occurred earlier this evening near Burrard and [West] Pender between a VPD Traffic member on a motorcycle and another vehicle,” Const. Tania Visintin said.
Images taken at the scene show a VPD motorcycle on the ground.

BC Emergency Health Services says it was called to the incident just after 7 p.m.
“Three ambulances with primary care paramedics and one ambulance with advanced care paramedics responded,” said Vincent Chou of Provincial Health Services Authority media relations.
“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to two patients on scene. One of the two patients was transported to hospital in stable condition.”
As of 8:45 p.m., the intersection remained blocked.
