Multiple vehicle incidents cause delays near Alex Fraser Bridge

Multiple vehicle incidents are disrupting the flow of traffic around Highway 91 and the Alex Fraser Bridge Tuesday morning.

In Delta, two crashes were blocking lanes along Highway 91. As of 7:50 a.m., one is still blocking the left northbound lane near 72 Avenue. Another had the left northbound lane near Nordel Way blocked, but has since been cleared.

In Richmond, a crash was blocking both the right and centre westbound lanes of Highway 91 at Cliveden Avenue. Callers to 1130 NewsRadio report that the vehicles involved have been cleared from the road as of 7:30 a.m., but delays and distractions continue.

Drivers can expect major congestion in the area. You’re advised to take Highway 99 to the George Massey Tunnel to avoid delays.
