The Izman Creek wildfire, burning out of control about 25 kilometres north of Lytton, has grown to around 245 hectares as of Sunday.
BC Wildfire Service information officer Sarah Hall says 60 firefighters were attacking the flames Sunday.

“That includes three unit crews and two initial attack crews,” Hall said.
“We also have four helicopters assigned that have been engaged in bucketing operations in those like steeper terrain areas.”
For certain properties under its control, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District has also issued an evacuation alert.
The blaze was sparked Tuesday when an “equipment failure of an RCMP trailer” caused a fire in a grass-filled ditch.
On Friday, information officer Cali Nessman said weather conditions weren’t helping the situation, and this wasn’t expected to improve anytime soon.
“With the heat of the day on the afternoon and evening periods, we have seen increased activity yesterday and throughout the next couple days, we’re expecting that to remain the same,” Nessman said.
“We are seeing some hot, dry, and windy weather, and especially in that area where the fire is burning, and that’s anticipated to continue for the next couple days.”
As of Sunday, the Lytton fire remains the only wildfire of note in B.C. Twenty-one of the more than 80 wildfires in B.C. are deemed to be out of control.
