
BC Ferries is reviewing an incident that happened on March 8 involving one of its vessels, the Northern Adventure.
The ferry was travelling the northern route between McLoughlin Bay, Bella Bella, and Ocean Falls when it altered from its planned course so crew could secure the vessel in heavy weather.

The event was reported to Transport Canada immediately, and a report has been submitted to the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
BC Ferries reports that there were no injuries, damage, or environmental impact.
An investigation is underway to determine root causes and develop actions that will prevent this from happening again.
