Two men injured in festival stabbing incident in Scarborough: police

Toronto police are investigating a stabbing that left two men injured late Sunday night at a local festival in Scarborough.

Authorities responded to a call for a stabbing in the area of Finch Avenue East and Morningside Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. The incident occurred during a local festival being held in the area, police said.

It’s alleged that two victims were attending the event when they were approached by a group of six to seven individuals. The suspects allegedly attempted to rob the victims, and during the altercation, one of the suspects stabbed both men with an edged weapon.

An 18-year-old man was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The second victim, a 38-year-old man, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The suspects were last seen fleeing eastbound on Finch Avenue East. No arrests have been made, and police have not released suspect descriptions.

Investigators are urging anyone with information, video footage, or photographs related to the incident to contact them.
