A 67-year-old man was sent to a hospital on Sunday morning after he was allegedly struck by a vehicle while riding an E-bike in Etobicoke, authorities say.

According to Toronto police, the collision happened in the Long Branch area, near Lakeshore Boulevard and Thirty Third Street, just after 10:00 a.m.

Paramedics say the male cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries that turned life-threatening.

He was struck by a 34-year-old man who was operating a silver 2012 Hyundai, according to police.

Officers say the driver was travelling east on Lakeshore Boulevard West and struck the cyclist while attempting to make a turn.
