Highway 401 reopens after multiple closures across Durham region

Drivers on the Highway 401 saw major delays after multiple closures on Highway 401 due to multiple collisions on Wednesday afternoon.

The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed at Brock Street in Whitby after a collision that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital.

Police were also conducting an investigation on Highway 401 eastbound at Salem Road near Ajax, where all lanes were closed.

All lanes have since reopened.
