A Brampton man is dead following a multi-vehicle crash in Mississauga early Saturday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police say just after midnight, a pedestrian fell from an overpass and was struck on the southbound lanes of Highway 410 near Derry Road East.

The pedestrian who was struck, a 48-year-old man from Brampton, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Police say two vehicles remained at the scene, while three others did not stop.

“One vehicle is belived to be black Ford, there would be damage to the vehicle,” OPP wrote in a social media post shared Saturday evening. “The investigators would like to speak with that driver or any drivers in the area at the time of the collision who may be witnesses of who may have struck the person.”

The highway was closed for five hours as police investigated the crash, but they do not believe foul play was involved in the man’s death.
