Peel Regional Police (PRP) say three overnight tow‑truck fires across Brampton are all being investigated as arson, with the incidents unfolding within less than 30 minutes of one another early Tuesday.

Emergency crews were first called around 1:10 a.m. to the area of Eagle Plains Drive and Airport Road, where a tow truck was found fully engulfed. No injuries were reported.

Roughly 20 minutes later, at 1:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a second tow‑truck fire near Dwellers Road and Fletcher’s Creek Boulevard. That vehicle was also burning on the roadway when crews arrived, and there was no damage to nearby homes.

Brampton fire crews were called to three separate locations overnight after four tow trucks went up in flames.

A third call came just minutes later, at 1:37 a.m., in the area of Worthington Avenue and Bovaird Drive, where another tow truck was found engulfed. Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames, and again, no injuries were reported.

Police confirm all three fires are being treated as arson, and four tow trucks in total were damaged across the incidents.

“We can’t confirm if they’re connected or not,” said PRP Constable Manny Khatra. “There could have been one or more suspects involved in this.”

The City of Brampton confirmed that the Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM) has been notified.

Detectives are expected to canvass the affected neighbourhoods and review surveillance footage as part of the ongoing investigation.
