Firefighter injured in house fire near Bathurst and Dupont

A firefighter has been injured after a fire at a home on Bathurst Street, north of Dupont Street.

Toronto Fire say they were called to a three-story detached home at 1177 Bathurst on Monday afternoon.

Crews reported heavy smoke emanating from the home and worked to extinguish the fire.

Fire Chief Jim Jessop confirmed that the two-alarm fire resulted in one firefighter being injured. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Bathurst is closed from Dupont to Bridgeman Avenue.
