
Waterloo regional police have charged a youth in connection with an assault at a Kitchener LRT station this week.
Police say the incident happened on Feb. 3, shortly after 7:30 p.m., at the Mill Street Station.
Investigators say the victim had exited an LRT train when two unknown individuals approached and assaulted him on the platform before fleeing on foot.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
Following an investigation, officers arrested one suspect on Feb. 5 in Kitchener.
A 14-year-old male has been charged with assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
The investigation remains ongoing.
