Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) have released the image of a person of interest they believe might be connected to a suspicious fire near the former Grand River Hospital.

The investigation began on Feb. 13, after a fire broke out in the parking garage of a residential building in the York Street and Union Boulevard area of Kitchener.

Several vehicles were damaged, and there was damage to the structure. The fire department also noted that two people were treated for smoke inhalation, including one person who needed to be transferred to a local hospital.
