Cyclist left with serious injuries in Cambridge hit-and-run

Police are investigating after a hit and run in Cambridge left a cyclist with serious injuries.

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) was called Saturday evening to the area of Kinsmen Stadium at Riverside Park around 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle had struck a cyclist, but the driver failed to remain at the scene.

A 67-year-old male cyclist was transported to an out-of-region hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

No details have been given as to the extent of those injuries.

WRPS said the investigation is still underway and is now asking anyone who saw the collision or has dash-cam footage to call 519-570-9777, extension 8856. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
