Two arrested in Kitchener home invasion, assault

Waterloo Regional Police Service are investigating after a home in Kitchener was invaded.

The incident happened on Thursday, just before 4 a.m. at a home in the area of Sims Estate Drive and Beaumont Crescent.

According to police, suspects entered the home, assaulted an individual inside and then stole personal property before fleeing.

A 16-year-old from Cambridge has been arrested and is facing multiple charges that include break and enter and robbery with a weapon.

Police have also arrested and charged a 39-year-old from Cambridge.

The 39-year-old is facing charges that include disguise with intent, robbery, and failure to comply with a release order.

The home invastion is believed to be targeted.
