Teens arrested after threats to elementary school

Two teens were arrested and charged Thursday, after police alleged they made threats towards a Kitchener school.

Waterloo regional police said a “threat to commit violence” was made towards the unnamed school Wednesday.

Comments were posted on social media, prompting witnesses to immediately contact police.

The two arrested are 16 and 17 years old.

They are both charged with uttering threats to cause death.

Police said there is no risk to public safety at this time.
