Teenager on e-scooter sent to hospital after crash in Kitchener

A teenager on an e-scooter was sent to hospital after a crash in Kitchener.

Emergency crews responded to the collision involving an e-scooter and a GMC vehicle around 3 p.m. on Thursday.

It happened at the Homer Watson Boulevard and Ottawa Street North intersection and the 16-year-old on the e-scooter was sent to a regional hospital.

His injuries are described as being non-life-threatening.

The driver of the GMC, a 30-year-old Kitchener man, was not hurt.

Waterloo regional police said their investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated.
