A collision on the 401 in Mississauga lead to several lane closures on Sunday morning.
A tweet from the OPP GTA Traffic account announced the closure just after 2 a.m. with reports of a multi vehicle collision on Highway 401 at Highway 403.
401 Eastbound express lanes were originally closed from just before Mississauga Road to east of Dixie Road. Eastbound lanes between Winston Churchill Boulevard and Renforth Drive have since reopened, as have the Westbound express lanes approaching Dixie Road to Hurontario Street.
According to Peel EMS, two people were transported to a trauma centre in critical condition.
A third person is in hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
