
Waterloo regional police are investigating after a security guard was assaulted in Waterloo.
It happened over the noon hour on Tuesday at the Grand River Transit terminal on University Avenue West.
According to police, the suspect made racialized comments towards the security guard during the incident.
Investigators believe the attack was racially motivated. Police added that there were no reports of serious injury.
Police were able to arrest a suspect who was held pending a bail hearing.
No details about the suspect or the nature of the charges have been released.
