Waterloo regional police have made an arrest in a case involving child exploitation and sexual abuse, seven months after a tip came in from national authorities.
It began in September last year, when police received information from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre about a local resident.
They arrested a 29-year-old man on Thursday.
Police confirmed to 570 NewsRadio he lived in Kitchener when they opened the case, but now lives in Cambridge.
He’s facing one count of possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and two counts of making available child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
The accused man is staying in custody pending his bail hearing, and the investigation continues.
