Two arrests made in Cambridge stabbing incident

A stabbing investigation took over a Cambridge neighbourhood early Monday afternoon.

Waterloo Regional Police said the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. in the Scrimger and Ballantyne avenues area of Cambridge.

A 31-year-old man victim suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an out-of-region hospital.

A 33-year-old Cambridge woman and a 38-year-old Cambridge man have been arrested and are facing multiple charges.

Those include, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and aggravated assault.

The investigation into the stabbing remains ongoing.
