A big win for your Kitchener Rangers in Windsor against the Spitfires Wednesday night, extending their Western Conference Final lead to 3-1.
Six different skaters for the Blueshirts found the back of the net in the 6-3 final, including Carson Campbell, who nabbed his first goal of the playoffs.
This means the Kitchener Rangers are just one win away from taking the Western Conference Final and, for the first time in 18 years, hoisting the Wayne Gretzky Trophy.
The club last won the honour back in 2008.
“We haven’t really changed anything, you just have to know what the other team does, and then you can react to that,” said Rangers Head Coach Jussi Ahokas in a post-game interview.
“These are tough games, every one of them has been tough, we still have more,” he said.
Game Five is Friday night, back on East Avenue in front of a home crowd.
The Rangers won the first two games of the series at home, including a nail-biting overtime win in Game 1.
