Police are looking for two suspects who allegedly stole jewellery from a victim in Waterloo.

Waterloo Regional Police said they got a call around 7:30, Wednesday night, about a theft that occurred around Amos Avenue and Vogel Place near Erb Street West and University Avenue West.

Police said a female victim was walking home when a Rav4 drove up beside her.

There was a male and female inside the vehicle, and during the victim’s interaction with them, her jewellery was allegedly stolen.

Police said the suspects stayed in their vehicle the whole time.

But police did not explain how the distraction theft was actually carried out — 570 NewsRadio has reached out for more information.

Investigators say the suspects were in a newer model Toyota Rav4.
