Police looking for suspect after hate-motivated assault in Kitchener

Police are out looking for a person who committed what they describe as a hate-motivated assault in Kitchener.

Officers from the Waterloo Regional Police Service were called out to Victoria Street North and Weber Street West around noon on Wednesday.

Police confirmed to 570 NewsRadio that a 59-year-old man was assaulted by a woman who uttered racial slurs before fleeing the scene.

The victim was not hurt.

Police described the woman as white, about 5’7″, and at the time was wearing all black, with a blue baseball cap.
