Police investigating online threats against Jacob Hespeler Secondary in Cambridge

Police are looking for whoever posted an online threat about Jacob Hespeler Secondary School in Cambridge.

Investigators got a report about the alleged threat on Monday.

A release from the Waterloo Regional Police Service says there were “online threats suggesting potential violence toward staff and students” at the school.

Police are still working to assess the credibility of those threats.

A spokesperson for the Waterloo Region District School Board tells 570 NewsRadio, “We are following WRPS advice, and the school will remain open.”

The school board will communicate any updates as soon as they have them.
