Regional police are out with a warning for Waterloo residents after nine thefts from vehicles in just three weeks between the middle of May and the beginning of June.
Thefts from vehicles are on the rise according to the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS), especially in the Northdale area of Waterloo.
Regional police received nine reports of thefts from vehicles between May 18 and June 8 which, for the most part, took place overnight or in the early morning hours.
For example, on May 25, a vehicle parked in a garage on Regina Street North was broken into and had bank cards stolen from inside. The thief then used those cards to make purchases at nearby stores in Waterloo.

Police are asking you to report suspicious activity in your neighbourhood to help curb vehicle thefts.
“Please report any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood to police immediately. If possible, try to obtain a description and direction of travel of the suspect and vehicle,” said WRPS in a press release.
Police are looking to speak to the person in the images below in relation to these incidents.
