There are still a few days left of summer holidays but the folks at Bingemans are already looking ahead to next summer.

And it is expected to be a big year with the addition of a massive new waterslide tower to the Big Splash Waterpark.

Typhoon Twister will feature four waterslides off the tower, each one with its own unique twists and turns.

Bingemans president, Mark Bingeman told 570 NewsRadio the slide is being designed by world-renowned, Ottawa based waterslide experts ProSlide.

“It’s great that they get to do a project close to home. They’ve been out numerous times over the last year and a half, taking measurements. They’ve custom-engineered this to go on our hillside. So, it’s going to have a lot of steepness to it.”

Bingeman said there have been some advancements in technology that will allow some younger riders to enjoy the slides as well. He mentioned that specifics will be posted online so visitors will be well informed ahead of their trip.

Bingeman also said some work will begin this fall, with the intention of having Typhoon Twister ready to open when the park does late next spring.

“With manufacturing, you never know what could happen these days. But, everything being manufactured in Canada is an added bonus for us. We don’t have to worry about tariffs, we don’t have to worry about overseas shipping.”

A press release from Bingemans promises more evening events, building on the success of this year’s Big Splash Night Swim.

It also states that early bird season passes are now available.
