Man arrested in Waterloo for threatening people with knife

One man has been arrested following a knife incident in Waterloo on Saturday.

Police say they received a call around 10:15 a.m. from a caller who said a man with a knife was making threats near Westmount Road North and Father David Bauer Drive.

Officers arrived and placed the suspect under arrest without incident.

The 40-year-old man is now facing two charges, one for uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death and the other for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
