It will be a moment to remember for Maia T.

The 30-year-old from Kitchener is celebrating a big $250,000 BINGO win, a ticket her husband bought her at a local Circle K on Westforest Trail

“I sat there staring at the ticket for about an hour,” she said.

“Then I woke my husband up to reveal the news, saying, ‘I think I won a quarter of a million dollars.’ He couldn’t believe it!”

After popping some champagne, the time came to decide what to do with the money.

“I’ve already splurged on a shopping trip and treated myself to some new AirPods.”

The pair plans to purchase a new deep freezer with the cash, share with family and donate to their church.

The couple is also looking forward to a trip to Croatia and Italy to celebrate their honeymoon, a trip in the works months before the big win.
