Following a sudden closure at the end of February, one that impacted a list of vendors, the St. Jacobs Antiques market announced it will officially reopen once again.

The closure was first announced on Feb. 25, when the antiques market took to social media to state that “the market will be closed March 1 and we will re-open shortly.”

At the time, the market stated that “we are currently going through some restructuring changes,” but no details were given as to what that restructuring entailed or when the business had planned to reopen.

Now, though, the St. Jacobs Antiques Market has said, “The Antique Mall officially reopens on Apr. 1, 2026,” adding that, “The hunt begins again soon, we look forward to welcoming you back.”

While the market itself pointed to that “restructuring,” some of its vendors, who released messages of their own, along with comments on posts tied to the market’s closure, pointed to financial difficulties that the market had been facing.

It led a list of vendors to either cut ties with the local antiques market or were forced to shut down indefinitely, with some making their way to other markets across southern Ontario as an alternative.

570 NewsRadio has reached out directly to the St. Jacobs Antiques Market for details on the month-long closure, the extent of its restructuring, and the future impacts for its vendors.
